Project Overview

The client wanted to make a wearable device for children with dexterity issues who have difficulty explaining their emotional situation in a social situation. The agenda was to go fully mechanical so no electrical part needs to be there.

Challenge

The requirement explained that the client wants to show 4 emotions in a visual way, so we needed to get to a mechanism that works and looks good equally and does the job.

Solution

We came up with a top rotating dial with a window for emoji to view, the rotating mechanism incorporates a clicking mechanism to ensure the kid hears a clicking sound on each step.

We took idea from moodieband team and put up detailed sketches before starting 3d CAD

3d CAD & Modelling

We came up with a unique rotation mechanism which is totally functional and design optimized. The overall look was premium to fit the high end kids toy market.
